Fish are aquatic vertebrate animals, meaning they have backbones. They are also cold blooded creatures and develop distinctive physical characteristics, such as gills. In addition, fish reproduce offspring through external fertilization by laying eggs. Furthermore, there are many species and types of fish. Overall, there are approximately 20,000 different types of fish. Different species of fish have different life spans, appearances, migration seasons, and reproductive patterns. Coho, Chinook, and Steelhead are examples of fish species commonly bred in fish farms and fish hatcheries.
